We have used Paul on 3 occasions and his work ethic and knowledge of what can be done with machines is amazing. To see him manoeuvre them with such precision is a sight to behold.
The first job he did for us was not long after we moved here just over 5 years ago when he removed a bamboo hedge between us and our neighbours. It had got totally out of hand; the roots had even found their way into cable ducting going to the neighbour’s garage.
Our house has a water harvester system that collects the rainwater into an underground tank which can then be used for watering - very handy in the hot weather! Last October the tank was virtually empty, I noticed soil in the bottom. On closer examination the tank had split and needed to be replaced. Paul’s knowledge from fitting other underground tanks proved invaluable as the original tank had not been installed properly and was on a bed of sand, the hole back filled with sand also. Ground movement had caused the split. The new tank had to be installed in a different place as we couldn’t get the old tank out due to the ground collapsing around it. All in all, it required a very large hole, something like 3.2m x 2.7m and 2.7m deep, that’s a lot of soil to remove and dispose of. He organised the type 1 sub-base, the strong concrete mix for the base (including reinforcement) and then the dry mix concrete to back fill, reconnecting old and new pipework, then levelled the site.
He has just finished the third job which was taking up the back lawn and making it ready for a new patio and turf plus dug out the base for our new greenhouse.
When he finishes for the day, everything is cleaned and put away tidily.
Paul from Dare to Dig recently cleared a drainage ditch and surrounding area of land for us, and we could not be happier with the service. Communication was excellent from start to finish, the price was very reasonable, and he was able to fit us in and complete the work much sooner than we expected.
The workmanship was first class; the area was cleared efficiently and to a very high standard. It is refreshing to find someone who is reliable, professional, and takes real pride in their work.

Paul of Dare to Dig offered sound advice and had a professional approach whilst working within my budget which was important to me. The quality of work and finished job was better than I could have imagined within the timescale and budget I had.
Before Paul started my garden it was sloped in 2 directions and was riddled with concrete from various patios and paths. My garden is now level with no concrete and ready for turfing, more importantly it will now be safe for my children.
I would recommend Dare to Dig to anyone who wants good value for money and likes the job done right.

JOB DONE had some footing dug by Paul in gloucester for a wrap round extension. very knowledgeable and experienced with a friendly service . :) even helped with pouring of concrete.
